Overcooked 2 replaces the figurehead of the Pastafarian religion with some vaguely-threatening zombie toast hanging around the outside of the level, which lacks the same impact. Kevin 1 is the first secret level, and it’s pretty easy to unlock between both solo players and coop parties. Overcooked 2 seriously steps up the culinary challenges you can expect to face when compared to its predecessor, and most fiendish of all are the secret Kevin levels. Hidden behind unexplained criteria, each Kevin level is the ultimate test of your team’s cooperation thanks to devilish combinations of cooking tasks and environmental hazards. Updated July 26th, 2021 by Stephen Lagioia: Despite its age, Team17’s fun, frenzied party romp is still cookin’ in terms of momentum, partly thanks to a steady stream of DLC packs and content. This includes the colorful Carnival of Chaos, extra skins in the Too Many Cooks Pack, and the robust Gourmet Edition, which features all DLC content to this point. Given the longevity of this addictive cooking game, it seemed appropriate to refresh and spruce up this list with some added details.
8 Kevin 1: Get Comfortable Now, It Get’s Much Tougher!
This is fairly easy to unlock: all you’ll need to do is play World 1-3 and knock out two orders in a row, which will notch you the times-two combo required. Keep in mind that the food requests will need to be placed in the order they’re listed (left to right) to successfully chain together combos. Put most of your effort and focus into the sushi rolls, as they’re trickier and more elaborate than the other main dish here; steamed shrimp.
Being the first Kevin level, this is the tamest out of the typically frantic bonus stages. You’ll find it by veering offthe road to the south inWorld 1 and driving up a couple of ramps to the bone icon atop a hill with a few buildings. The only real curveball in this stage is that both chefs will be split off, which forces you to hand off various items from one side of the kitchen to the other. Try to always have something being steamed and mixed while doing other tasks. Steaming and mixing are key parts of assembling the dishes here, and they take some time.
7 Kevin 2: Carnage On The Streets
Opening up Kevin 2 is relatively painless: simply string together a combo of three (solo) or a combo of five (co-op) in World 2-2. While fairly slow, the shifting platforms can be a tad tricky, but just be sure to time the patterns when moving goods. It’s a good idea to have one player handle most of the transports, while one or two others deal with most of the cooking. Once this stage is completed, swoop around to the bone icon directly north and east of that stage.
You’ll speedy locate matters are a chunk tenser in Kevin 2, as you and your pal are dropped into inside the center of the street. But no longer to fear, as a minimum there aren’t any automobiles driving by using in this one. The every so often rotating 4 systems may be a bit jarring at instances. Still, so long as you stay sharp, allocate responsibilities for that reason, and try to count on the rotations, landing a or three-celebrity rank isn’t any sweat. Again, multitasking with steaming and mixing is prime right here.
6 Kevin 3: Going Up!
You’ll need to play 2-4 to unlock Kevin 3. The stage has a rather simple layout, though you’ll need to be careful crossing the bridge on the lower end of the stage. The abundance of taco orders can get a bit tricky, so be sure to have those shells at the ready, and keep those ingredients cooking. You’ll usually want to have someone handle the steaming, while another focuses more on sauteeing. Be sure to take extra care in knocking these out in order as the steak, shrimp, and mushroom varieties change quite a bit. The requirement this time is a solo score of 600 or a team score of 1,000.
The gimmick of Kevin 3 is that it contains a moving transport you must work with and wait for, which can present some unwanted delays. Thankfully, the lack of steps with most of the orders (mainly steamed shrimp, fish, and steak)take some of the load off. Tossing things around in this case – both onto the platform from the lower level and off the edge of the higher level – should save some time. Have someone handle the steaming and dish-washing within the small upper part of the stage, while others handle the remaining tasks.
5 Kevin 4: Jump In The Fire
To unlock this, you’ll need to get cooking in the Harry Potter-themed wizard kitchen of 3-1. A solo score of 450 or a team score of 1,100 is required. You’ll want to be swift and sharp with your tasks and coordinate with your teammate. This is because of 3-1’s annoying floating tables and emphasis on baking. Its difficulty is average as long as you account for these elements. But luckily combos and higher scores are fairly easy because of the repeating pizza orders. Just be sure to stay on that pizza baking, as it’s a somewhat long process and the pizzas can burn.
Kevin 4 can be rough on account of having to maneuver around pesky embers spat from the fire pits. You may want to have somebody manning the hydrant as the other player manages most of the cooking. Meanwhile, stay alert as there will likely be multiple items being mixed and steamed; both of which have timers.
4 Kevin 5: Road-Thrill
You’ll need to visit 4-3 and achieve a solo combo of four, or a team combo of five to get this Kevin stage. This may sound simple, and you likely won’t have to worry about being as pressed for time here. Still, the food of choice is burgers; some of which have four ingredients, so take extra care to assemble and deliver correctly. Also be careful traveling across those treacherous conveyor belts! Don’t get too fancy and attempt shortcuts by scurrying the opposite way to how a belt is moving. Once again, throwing food across the gaps is quite helpful here.
Then it’s on to Kevin 5. Apparently, the chefs herethought it would be a fine idea to split up their kitchen on either side of a busy street with cars whizzing by. But not to worry, thanks to the game’s new throwing mechanic, much of the danger is alleviated, and you’ll want to use it frequently. Pay no mind to the sanitary issues of tossing meal ingredients across busy streets. When not throwing, always dash across the street, and knock out tasks on the sidewalk side when possible.
3 Kevin 6: Conveyer Belt Chaos
![Overcooked 2 Kevin Levels Overcooked 2 Kevin Levels](https://steamlists.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/overcooked-2-how-to-unlock-kevin-levels-2-steamlists-com-s32e23e1.jpg)
To unlock this level, go to 4-5 just to the north of Kevin 5, and get ready to deal with – you guessed it – more conveyor belts. Luckily the game has mercy by requiring a solo score of only 400 or a team score of 500. But it’s harder than it sounds, since fulfilling just one order will be a long process that forces you to wait for conveyors to ever-so-slowly transport dishes. Just keep the line moving and pay attention to items approaching. Toss items across the way when needed, and take particular care to keep those dishes washed.
If Kevin 5 didn’t make you loathe conveyer belts, Kevin 6 likely will. Since you’ve got these moving platforms rolling every which way, you’ll want to be aware which ones are pointing where when running. You’ll typically want to go with the flow to take advantage of the quicker speed, rather than go against their movement. Navigation is the tricky part, as the recipes themselves are pretty simple. Try throwing items to the various stations, but be sure to be on stationary ground when doing so.
2 Kevin 7: Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
There’s no sugarcoating it – this is a tough one to unlock. You’ll need to string together a combo of five (solo) or eight (with a team), but the stage required to play, World 5-5, can be quite the headache. Unlike most of these, which can be knocked out with one, or even two people, you’re best served to complete this with three or four players.
This is when the fun, intense multiplayer gameplay really kicks into high gear. It’s a race against the clock, as you’ll need to juggle cooking with controlling transports that shift between four segmented platforms. Be methodical, focus on the task at hand, and don’t panic. It’s usually a good idea to get a backlog of three or four finished dishes ready first, then start handing them off to the player at the drop-off point.
Kevin 7 itself is thankfully easier, though that’s not saying much. It’s a pretty open and obstacle-free kitchen, but you will have to be sharp and account for the shifting countertops flanking the left and right sides. And since you’re split off from your teammate, communication is key here. Use the center countertop to promptly hand off any items needed from one side to the other.
1 Kevin 8: Don’t Let Good Food Go To Waste!
Overcooked 2 Kevin Levels Dlc
To land the eighth and final Kevin level, you’ll need to knock out 6-4, achieving a combo of five if you’re solo, or seven if playing co-op, before going up the hill just to the west. Stage 6-4 can be rough, as you’ll have to make do with limited space and countertops, complex orders of burgers and pizza, and two containers of ingredients that frequently shift. Precision and orderly work are favored over speed here since you’re going for combos. Try to grab a stockpile of ingredients and have them ready on the countertops, so you don’t get thrown off by the moving containers.
Kevin eight is yet some other warfare towards conveyor belts considering food could be rolling down the center belt at a pretty speedy tempo. Be positive to be alert and speedy, snatching meals that comes your manner earlier than it reroutes and falls within the trash shoots. You’ll regularly need to prevent what you are doing and assist out your co-chef. Once once more, build a group of ingredients first, then focus greater on whipping the dishes together. Be ready handy off and acquire numerous objects across the conveyor belt.
